A New Addition
We are excited to announce the addition of Friends’ Cafe to the Daily Grind family beginning in March 2010! Located within the Health Sciences Library, it is a convenient stop for those needing a pick-me-up while perusing the stacks, or a good place to meet with friends or discuss a project.
Just like Daily Grind and Global Cup Cafe, Friends’ Cafe will have an assortment of goodies for breakfast, lunch and snack time in addition to the coffee and espresso drinks people have come to know and love.
Our coffee is always provided by Counter Culture Coffee roasters, a roasting company with headquarters in Durham, whose coffee beans are gathered from all corners of the world. Priding themselves in obtaining the coffee through direct trade, Counter Culture works openly with the farmers in each region to establish a sustainable and fair collaboration. We regularly change our Single Origin coffee to reflect the areas of the world where beans are harvested in peak season. Of course, we will serve Daily Grind House Blend, perfected by members of Counter Culture and the Daily Grind’s owner, herself!
